I’m Haley - a photographer based on Vashon Island, Washington. I specialize in portrait photography, capturing the intimacies between families and our human relationship with nature. I love to photograph real life moments - the beauty in the mundane, the gentle touches you want to remember forever, and the genuine expressions of the people you love.

I’m especially interested in photographing changing bodies, from maternity to childhood keepsake photos to generational compositions. Being a mother, I understand and value the fleeting moments of time, and am driven by the desire to encapsulate those moments for my clients.
About me:
Born and raised on Vashon Island, I’ve been surrounded and inspired by art my entire life. I’ve had a camera in my hand since a trip I took to Alaska when I was 7 and fell in love with photographing glaciers and wildlife. In middle school and high school, I was constantly photographing my friends with a disposable camera or tiny pocket digital.
I studied art and psychology at The Evergreen State College and took my first film developing class, otherwise I consider myself to be self taught.
I have spent the last decade photographing my own family as well as countless others.
Besides photography, I like to spend my time in the forest and making art in the form of ceramics and painting. I am also in graduate school studying to become an art therapist at Southwestern College in Santa fe, New Mexico.
